🌺All About Me☘️
Hi, I’m Kongnim! I’m a three-year-old mixed breed with a soft white coat and a gentle, easygoing nature. Weighing 6kg (13.2lb), I may be small, but I have a big heart full of warmth. I was rescued from a shelter where I was at risk of euthanasia, but now, I’m looking for a loving home where I can feel safe and cherished.
🐕My Personality🐕
I am naturally friendly and social, whether with people or other animals. I may be a little cautious at first, but I warm up quickly, especially if you offer me a treat. I enjoy being around people, but I’m not overly clingy—I prefer to relax on a comfy mat rather than be carried or held for long periods. I like gentle pets on my face but prefer not to be handled too roughly. Loud noises can make me a little nervous, and if something startles me during a walk, I may try to move away quickly. However, I recover well with reassurance. If a stranger visits my home, I might give a soft bark at first, but I quickly settle down and enjoy their company.
🐕Social Skills🐶
I get along well with both people and other dogs. During walks, I greet other dogs politely and enjoy socializing with them. While I don’t necessarily play with every dog I meet, I am always friendly and respectful. My reaction to cats hasn’t been tested yet, but I have good social instincts.
🔋Energy and Activities⭐
I have a moderate energy level—I enjoy going on walks and exploring, but I also appreciate quiet time. I sometimes pull on the leash because I’m excited to go forward, but I listen well when my handler tells me to stop or slow down. I enjoy nature and prefer mountains and grassy areas over the beach because I love sniffing plants and exploring new scents.
🎓Training and Habits❤️
I am well-behaved at home and don’t engage in destructive behaviors. Even when left alone, I don’t chew on furniture, steal food, or bark excessively. I am crate-trained and can relax quietly in my kennel when needed. I am house-trained and prefer doing my business outside, but I also know how to use pee pads if they are provided. At home, I sometimes hold my bladder until I can go outside. I don’t have separation anxiety and can stay home alone without any issues. I’ve never had any complaints about excessive barking. I haven’t learned many formal commands yet, but I understand “let’s go for a walk” and “want a treat?” I respond well to a calm and reassuring voice.
🥕Eating Habits🍖
I have a good appetite, though I can be picky about eating full meals if I’ve had too many treats. I get excited about human food, so I need to be watched to make sure I don’t sneak a bite of something I shouldn’t have. I tend to swallow treats whole instead of chewing, so smaller, soft treats are best for me.
💇Grooming and Handling💗
I shed seasonally, which is common for Jindo mixes, so regular brushing helps keep my coat in good shape. I don’t love baths, but I tolerate them well. I also allow nail trims, ear cleaning, and other grooming tasks, even if I feel a little nervous during them.
🏠My Ideal Home💕
I would thrive in a calm, patient home that gives me time to adjust and feel safe. A family that enjoys nature walks and quiet companionship would be a great match for me. I don’t have separation anxiety, so I can stay home alone if needed, but I love having a cozy and peaceful environment to return to. If there are other dogs in my home, they should be friendly and non-competitive, as I don’t like conflict. Since I get nervous around loud noises and sudden movements, a home with older children or adults would be ideal.
💌Special Notes💌
I am a gentle and well-mannered dog who enjoys companionship without being overly demanding. I need a bit of patience when adjusting to new environments, but once I settle in, I become a loyal and loving companion. If you’re looking for a calm and affectionate dog who enjoys peaceful walks and a quiet home, I might be the perfect match for you. I can’t wait to find my forever family!
